Training Programs

Why Learn to Multiply?

  • Mastering your multiplication facts is an absolutely crucial foundational math skill. If you have to skip-count to calculate 6 x 7, it will be MUCH more difficult for you to learn new, more advanced math concepts.

  • Memorization is not the answer. Finger tricks are not the answer. Cute rhymes, calculators and multiplication tables are not the answer.

  • Visualization, a gradual building of leveled skills, efficient number sense strategies, and TONS of practice IS the answer.

  • This training program starts at the very beginning and teaches you how to SEE numbers and to work with them in a way that actually makes sense.

  • Learn how to quickly, instinctually and confidently calculate all the single-digit multiplication facts between 1-10.

  • Math practice is always more fun (and more effective) with friends. Sign up together soon!

Why Train for the PSAT?

  • Getting a high score on the PSAT can unlock doors you didn't even know were there. Did you know that the PSAT is the only qualifying test for the highly prestigious National Merit Scholarship program?

  • National Merit Finalists automatically qualify for FULL-RIDE scholarships (tuition, housing, meals, and textbooks for FOUR YEARS, sometimes FIVE!!) at many universities.

  • It is a rare opportunity to potentially turn a 120-hour investment of your time into a $150,000-$300,000 return. If you do the math, that's $1,250-$2,500 per HOUR of studying!!

  • You get one chance to take the PSAT, in mid-October of your Junior year.

  • Our PSAT training program works best as a 30-week course. Expect to spend around 4 hours each week preparing for the test. We recommend starting the program in February/March of your Sophomore year.

  • Our PSAT training program can also be taken as a 30-day intensive course. Expect to put in 1-3 hours a day of hard, focused work!

  • Math practice is always more fun (and more effective) with friends. Sign up together soon!

Why Speak Fraction?

  • Fractions are an incredibly important foundational math skill that MANY students find to be extremely difficult and anxiety-inducing.

  • Often students need MUCH more time and practice than they are given at school in order to achieve fluency with fractions.

  • When there isn't enough time to teach fractions with DEPTH, teachers often resort to teaching rules and tricks. These might work for a few weeks, but without actual understanding, students forget the rules and tricks and fraction fear sets in.

  • Our fraction training program first develops a deep conceptual understanding of what a fraction even IS. From there, we teach how to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions in a way that actually makes sense.

  • Math practice is always more fun (and more effective) with friends. Sign up together soon!
